DAY 3 | Experiencing the Indonesian Life

Our plans was to experience the Indonesian life by experiencing their food and roaming around Padang, Indonesia.

We rode angkot in going to the traditional market.

Angkot is like a small van in the Philippines. It took us in the Traditional Market.

Before buying the things that we will be needing, we ate lunch inside the traditional market. The market there is the same with the market in the Philippines. There are also karenderya and vendors around the market.

We ate sati for lunch. Its like a barbecue.

We went to a merchandise store. In there, I bought a nail cutter, tumblr, scissors and a tupper ware. Its kinda cool in there because you cant carry the things you need to buy looking for another thing to buy inside the campus. You’ll first tell them that you need to buy the thing and then they will get it and replace it with a small paper wherein the name of the thing that you are going to buy is written.

We roam around the traditional market. Actually we bought some batik clothes: a longer top and pants. The batik is really beautiful. Whenever you see batik, you’ll think they are Muslim especially the girls who wear scarf.
